It gives me immense pleasure to be associated with Telecom Equipment & Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC), an apex body for the promotion and development of export of telecom equipment & services. It represents the interest of equipment manufacturers, the service providers and other telecom stakeholders including telecom installation and turnkey solutions, telecom operation and maintenance services, telecom hardware and software, telecom network management services, telecom hardware and software, telecom network management services, telecom consultancy services.
Indian Telecom sector has been growing at a phenomenal pace, and is considered as the fastest growing telecom market in the world with 2nd largest subscriber base. Rapid growth of the sector has fueled the demand for telecom equipment, which is projected to be about Rs 1.08 trillion for the year 2015-16 and is estimated to exceed Rs. 1.8 trillion by the year 2020. This large domestic demand creates a strong base, on which domestic telecom companies have created innovative, high-quality products and solutions that not only meet the needs of highly-competitive Indian market, but can also address the global market
